Registration

The registration fee for the workshop is €50 (VAT Incl.). Registration includes two lunches, four coffee breaks and a buffet dinner on the evening of May 27th. The registration fee for the tutorial is also €50 (VAT Incl.). The deadline for registration is Sunday April, 27th.

The on-line registration system can be accessed here. As soon as the page is opened, click on Inscription. Then select the Pre-registration option on the line corresponding to BGE 2014. On the first page of the form, the first half corresponds to your personal information and the second half to the information related to your institution. Specifically, the e-mail address to provide in this second half is the one of the person in charge of mission/travel administration.

In the Tarification menu select:

• Tutorial if you only want to attend the tutorial (May 26th).
• Workshop if you only want to attend the workshop (May 27-28th).
• Tutorial and workshop if you want to attend both (May 26-28th) .

Confirmation of your pre-registration is made with the Confirm pre-registration option. Validation of your pre-registration will be confirmed by e-mail but your final inscription will be effective only after payment is received.

Getting there

The workshop will take place in the main amphitheater of the École Supérieure de Chimie Physique Électronique de Lyon, on the Doua campus of University Lyon 1:

By car

• By beltway East
  Take exit 1B, then Croix-Luizet, then follow “La Doua”, then follow the sign “Domaine Scientifique de La Doua”.
• By Laurent Bonnevay boulevard
  Take exit 6 “Porte de Croix-Luizet”, then follow the sign “Domaine Scientifique de La Doua”.
• By 11 Novembre 1918 boulevard in Villeurbanne
  Enter at 43 or at 27-29 boulevard du 11 Novembre 1918.

By plane (Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport)

The rhonexpress is a tramway shuttle linking the airport to the Lyon Part-Dieu train station. The fare for a round-trip ticket is €25. After exiting at Lyon Part-Dieu, follow the instructions corresponding to an arrival by train at this station.

A car journey from the airport to the center of Lyon takes 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic, and the taxi fare is approximately €50.

By train

• Arrival at Lyon Part-Dieu station (recommanded)
  Take the tramway (T1 line) heading “IUT-Feyssine”.
  Get off at “Doua Gaston Berger”.

• Arrival at Lyon Perrache station
  Take the metro (A line) heading “Vaulx-en-Velin la Soie”.
  Get off at “Charpennes”.
  Take the tramway (T1 line) heading “IUT-Feyssine”.
  Get off at “Doua Gaston Berger”.

All information on public transportation in Lyon are available on the TCL site. Moreover, it is also possible to easily travel in town with the Vélo'v bike rental service.

Lodging

Lodging is the responsibility of the participants. A large choice of hotels is available at OnlyLyon, the Lyon web site devoted to tourism and congresses. Other lodging options are available from this site (guest houses, rental appartments, etc.)
